Born in 1990 in Caldas da Rainha, João Faria grew up immersed in the vibrant traditions of Portuguese music. Their musical journey began with the Portuguese ukulele (cavaquinho), playing in a traditional band that later fueled his interest in exploring other instruments. From there, expanded his skills,on acoustic guitar and the soulful Galician bagpipe, building a bridge between traditional Portuguese and Galician sounds. His musical path took a sharp turn after discovering metal. Inspired by the raw energy of bands like Metallica, Lamb of God, and Megadeth, transitioned from acoustic to electric guitar, honing his craft in a new genre.

This evolution reached a pivotal moment when they moved to Lisbon for university, where a chance meeting with David led to the formation of Allamedah a project that blends passion, creativity, and musical intensity. Today, João wears two musical hats: as a bagpipe player in traditional ensembles and as a drummer for Allamedah, where their love for heavy music takes center stage. Their ability to balance the roots of folk with the power of metal has made them a dynamic force in both scenes.
